Batesville Help and Hope, established in 1987, is dedicated to providing food and clothing to families in need. We currently serve families in Independence County and parts of Sharp County, assisting 800 to 1,000 households (about 2,000 individuals) per month. In Independence County, 19.3% of the population lives below the poverty level, and many families struggle to make ends meet. We are located at 2622 East Main St. in Batesville, Arkansas, and our hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM.

Ozark Foothills Literacy Project
The Ozark Foothills Literacy Project (OFLP), based in Batesville, Arkansas, empowers adults and strengthens communities by teaching literacy skills.
Serving Fulton, Sharp, Izard, and Independence counties, OFLP supports adults who are learning to read or improving their English language skills. The organization trains community volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring, helping students reach their full potential.
